ABOUT BEASUPERHERO
BeASuperhero is a nonprofit dedicated to saving lives through stroke awareness and education. Founded by Dr. Rajiv Narula, Founder & CEO of Sevaro Health, and Jay Sardana, a high school student, our organization combines medical expertise with youth leadership to reach families in an engaging, meaningful way.
Our Story
What began as the creation of a children’s book has grown into a nationwide movement for stroke education. The book was co-authored by Dr. Rajiv Narula, Founder & CEO of Sevaro Health, and his 5-year-old son, Ayan Narula, with the simple idea that teaching kids to recognize the signs of stroke could empower entire families to save lives.
From those first printed copies shared in local schools and libraries, our mission quickly gained momentum. Parents, teachers, and community leaders saw the value in giving children the tools to act fast in a medical emergency. With their support, the initiative expanded beyond the classroom into community events, book donations, and national partnerships.

Today, BeASuperhero reaches thousands of households across the U.S. and abroad through interactive workshops, in-school presentations, and youth-led projects. Our Youth Ambassador Program now trains 22 students nationwide, equipping them with leadership skills, resources, and mentorship to deliver impactful presentations in their communities. Each year, these ambassadors inspire countless families to learn the BEFAST method — Balance, Eyes, Face, Arms, Speech, Time — and understand that immediate action saves lives.

Along the way, we have partnered with Yale University and Sevaro Health to build a sustainable framework for growth, including an annual scholarship stipend to recognize and support outstanding youth leaders. Through this collaboration, our work has not only become more impactful but also more credible, bridging the gap between youth energy and medical expertise.
What started as a book has become a movement powered by education, community, and collaboration. From distributing thousands of books to shipping resources nationwide, to speaking directly with students in classrooms, our story continues to evolve with one goal in mind: a future where every child and family can recognize the signs of stroke and act in time to save a life.
